Nourishing Honey & Avocado Face Mask

This mask is gentle enough to use once or twice a week — and is especially lovely during detox when your skin may need a little extra love

Because this is free of all preservatives, this mask is best made fresh, just prior to use

  • Avocado nourishes with essential fatty acids, vitamins E & C, and antioxidants — supporting skin elasticity and repair.

  • Raw honey hydrates and calms irritated skin while helping to fight acne-causing bacteria.

  • Yoghurt provides gentle exfoliation via lactic acid and helps support your skin’s microbiome.

  • Oats soothe sensitive skin and reduce redness, while essential oils (if used) add calming or clarifying benefits.

Ingredients

  • ¼ ripe avocado (rich in skin-loving healthy fats and vitamins)

  • 1 tsp raw honey (natural humectant + antimicrobial)

  • 1 tsp plain natural yoghurt or coconut yoghurt (gently exfoliating + probiotic-rich)

  • Optional: ½ tsp finely ground oats or white clay (for gentle exfoliation or oil control)

  • Optional: 1 drop lavender or frankincense essential oil (only if your skin tolerates EO well)


In a small bowl, mash the avocado until completely smooth.

  1. Stir in honey and yoghurt until well combined.

  2. Add your optional exfoliant or essential oil, if using.

  3. Apply gently to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.

  4. Leave on for 10–15 minutes while you relax.

  5. Rinse off with warm water and a soft cloth. Pat skin dry and follow with a light natural moisturiser or facial oil.
